On the ground floor there’s also a driving simulator which is a lot of fun, especially for children. With the start of a button you can drive a virtual BMW through Germany.

The BMW Junior Campus

A short distance from the BMW driving simulator you will find the Junior Campus. Here, all kinds of questions about cars are answered. This part is aimed for young visitors and gives answers to questions like “How is a car built?”, “Where does gas come from?”, “Why is the shape of a car important?”. The answers are delivered on displays and information boards. A miniature model visualizes how the gas consumption of a car evolves on the basis of the car’s shape. In another section children learn how a car and its different parts can be recycled. Overall, this is a very cool and interesting place, not just for kids.

Upon registration, various workshops for children can be booked. The topics of the workshops range from the topic like “Sustainability in Automotive Engineering” to mobility concepts and of course the design of vehicles. The Junior Campus is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00. On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, it opens from 10:00 to 18:00.

On the first floow of the BMW World Munich you will find BMW motorcycles. From up here you will also see the new vehicles that are waiting for pickup by their buyers. A glass elevator takes the vehicles upwards and you can watch the new owner of a car recieving the keys to their new BMW. It’s interesting to watch for children. From here you can go straight across the styled bridge to the BMW Museum.

In case that you have had enough of cars you can pay the Olympic Park Munich a visit. It’s right next to the BWM World and a wonderfully designed park.
