The Falkenstein Nature Park – Schwarzau is located in the Rax-Schneeberg area near Schwarzau in the mountains. The core area with a size of 17 ha covers the western slope of the eponymous Falkenstein (1100m). Beautiful, comfortable hikes in the Falkenstein Nature Park – Schwarzau invite families to discover the region. The trail network (walking time between 20 minutes and 2 hours) has easy to climb slopes and is designed so that it is easy for children to commit.
Many nest boxes protect the native songbirds. In the vicinity of the plant, the observation of the songbirds is particularly well possible. In addition to the bird sanctuary, there are two shelter and a barbecue area. Furthermore, the nature park has a bathing pond, animal enclosures with deer, chamois, moufflons and marmots as well as two children’s playgrounds. In the immediate vicinity there is a small pond. It is only 1.5 meters deep and freely accessible for swimming.
