Famous Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart resided in this three-storey Rennaissance building from the second half of the 16th century in 1783. He was a guest of the Count of Thun and composed the “Linz Symphony” during his stay in this building in just three days.
In the entrance of the Mozarthouse in Linz there is a Mozart bust by W. Ritter (1957) and a music installation. Inside the building is a beautiful, three-storey arcaded courtyard from the 17th century.
If you’re a Mozart fan and enjoy old architecture, then this is a place you should visit. Otherwise it’s not so special an we recommend you to check out some of the other amazing sights and attractions in Salzburg!
